I am an artist who works to breathe life into the past while using the past as an inspiration for the present. An artist who strives to understand and translate a photographic reference to a canvas. Art is imaginative and creative, but also it is a different way of seeing or looking. It is a pair of eyes. Eyes that I use to study the world and its antiquity in a saturated, detailed, and artistic light. I like to dive into the examination side of painting or illustration by collecting vintage objects and capturing their story, or essence. I like to unlock a perspective of the world on canvas, bending light and form with paint.
